Postdoc Research Associate – Stem Cells

Responsibilities include:

  • Design experiments in the area of stem cell differentiation and functional analysis, validate and analyze data independently.
  • Initiate new ideas or projects that fit the company’s plan in cell based assay and therapy.
  • Coordinate and maintain projects with outside laboratories, collaborators, and corporate partners
  • Coordinate laboratory activities to ensure timely completion of R&D projects under the guidance of senior scientist. Participate in R&D projects from conception through transfer to production.
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.  Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. 
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current/new technologies and/or products, and of the marketplaces needs and trends.

 

Requirements:

The candidate must be detail-oriented, possess excellent documentation skills, and have at least two years of experience in the field of cell differentiation or cell reprogramming. An outstanding work ethic, creative problem-solving and drive to succeed, plus the ability to work well in a team setting are also required.

  • A Doctorate degree in an area of the biological sciences.
  • 2 years cell differentiation or cell reprogramming experience in an academic or industry laboratory setting.
  • Advanced laboratory skills in the area of cell characterization and analysis.
  • Ability to design and execute experiments, analyze results, troubleshoot experiments, and formulate conclusions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently evaluate, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in generating and promptly delivering project reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid computer software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
