The National Cancer Institute has awarded a research contract to Allele Biotech to develop novel method for generating glycosylated cancer antigens to be used in cancer diagnostic studies.

090209 San Diego—Allele Biotech formally announced today that it has signed an agreement to distribute products from ChromoTek GmbH, a German company with a focus on camelid antibody fragment based precipitation and detection reagents.

Allele has signed an exclusive co-development and marketing agreement with the Swedish high tech company, Innoventus, to work with Dr. Olle Israelsson of the Karolinska Institutet on a novel class of fluorescent proteins.

The National Cancer Institute’s Clinical Proteomic Technologies for Cancer (CPTC) initiative has recognized Allele Biotech’s contribution to special antibodies. In an interview with ProteoMonitor, the Director of the NCI program mentioned Allele Biotech’s project as 1 of the 2 examples of ongoing successes under the program.
